Meet Joseph Strickland Jr.

Joseph Strickland Jr. is a Senior Advisor in Anchin’s Cost Segregation Group, bringing over 40 years of expertise in cost segregation, fixed asset valuation, and construction management.

Joseph has conducted thousands of cost segregation analyses on depreciable properties for both new construction and acquisitions, spanning various industries across the United States and internationally, including in England, Mexico, and Turkey.

Throughout his career, Joseph has led cost segregation practices at several prominent national and regional accounting firms. He has vast experience in a wide range of industries, working with hotels, offices, data centers, automobile manufacturing plants, sports venues, retail centers, restaurants, industrial plants, pharmaceutical manufacturers, research centers, financial institutions, warehouses, and distribution facilities.

A recognized leader in his field, Joseph has served as an expert witness in the determination of replacement costs for the World Trade Center. Joseph has also taught Cost Estimating for Cost Segregation with RS Means and was the editor and reviewer for their publication Practice of Cost Segregation Analysis. Additionally, he has reviewed industry guidelines for depreciation and the IRS’s Audit Techniques Guide for Cost Segregation.
