Westchester County Increases Sales and Use Tax Rate

Starting August 1, 2019, local sales and use tax in Westchester County, New York will increase by 1%, from 3% to 4%.

This increase applies to all taxable sales and uses in Westchester County outside of Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains and Yonkers. In Mount Vernon S.D., Peekskill S.D. and Rye S.D., total tax rates will also rise 1%, from 10 3/8% to 11 3/8%.
