Robert Gilman is a partner and leader of the real estate group at Anchin. Applying more than 35 years of experience, Gilman serves real estate owners, developers and operators in the commercial and residential sectors. He advises on day-to-day operations, tax-saving opportunities and transactional support that includes due diligence on the acquisition and disposition of real estate. His experience also extends to reviewing and analyzing operating agreements and assisting with client-investor relations for both domestic and international investors.

Gilman’s approach to his leadership role at the firm focuses on inspiring those around him. In fostering growth and innovation, he has made a positive impact not only on the firm, but on the community and the industry at large.

As a thought leader, Gilman has been featured in industry publications including the Wall Street Journal, Commercial Observer, The Real Deal and Globe St. He has been named an award winner by respected industry publications, including counted among New York’s Most Notable in Real Estate for 2021 and 2022 by Crain’s New York Business. LIBN presented him with a Business and Finance Award for 2021, 2022 and 2023, and he took home the Globe St. award for CRE’s (Commercial Real Estate’s) Best Bosses for 2021 and 2022.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gilman is actively involved in his community, volunteering with March of Dimes, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Long Island Chapter, City Harvest and Project to Cure (PTC). He is also president of the Cold Spring Harbor Country Club.
