Meet Marlen Preyger

Marlen Preyger, CPA, is a Tax Director at Anchin. She is a key member of the firm’s Technology Industry Group and works with entrepreneurial, venture capital, and private equity-backed businesses ranging from start-ups to growing and established technology companies.

Marlen provides tax, consulting and M&A transaction advisory services to founders and businesses. She specializes in assisting her clients with savings opportunities by identifying tax credits and incentives including the Research and Development tax credit, Qualified Small Business Stock (“QSBS”) opportunities, and other state and local initiatives. She has expertise working with various types of clients including SaaS, fintech, health tech, e-commerce, AI, ad tech, and information tech businesses.

During her career at Anchin, Marlen has become a thought leader for the firm and assists in the development of alerts and other client communications. She is a member of Anchin’s Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) group, which enables her to stay informed on all accounting and tax updates and provide the firm with guidance to best assist clients.

Marlen is the founder of Anchin’s Women in Tech initiative where she facilitates an environment of connection, mentorship, and development for women in the tech space. She hosts networking events, panels, and intimate dinners with founders, investors, and connectors within the tech space.

She has mentored various junior staff members during her time at Anchin, and also continues teaching various courses and lunch and learn programs. Marlen also mentors young adults throughout their high school careers as part of Anchin’s Big Brother/Big Sister program.

Marlen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
