Shashi Singal is a Tax Partner in Anchin’s Consumer Products Group with more than 20 years of expertise in strategic tax planning and compliance. Shashi specializes in planning for privately-held businesses in the manufacturing & distribution, wholesale and retail industries. She also serves law firms, architecture and engineering firms, real estate companies, family partnerships and private foundations.

Shashi frequently advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, particularly within the manufacturing & distribution and real estate sectors. Her expertise extends to international tax, and she has advised multinational businesses on the tax ramifications of inbound and outbound business activities.

Recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Business by Long Island Business News and featured in the “Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight” by the New York Real Estate Journal, Shashi actively engages in mentorship and charitable initiatives, along with being a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

She is a published author and frequent speaker for business associations, including the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the Hauppauge Industrial Association of Long Island (HIA-LI), and her insights have been featured in Crain’s New York Business, Long Island Business News, NJBIZ, NYSSCPA’s Tax Stringer and other publications. She has been a panelist on the NYSSCPA’s Qualified Opportunity Funds and Opportunity Zones Symposium and presented webinars on Accountants World and Strafford CPE.

Shashi holds an M.S., Accounting degree from Queens College and is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi.
